The LDP-3840 Precision Pulsed Current Source is a microprocessor-based instrument designed exclusively for providing clean current pulses to higher power diodes. A specially designed output stage provides up to 3A of maximum peak pulse current with pulse widths adjustable from 100ns to 10¨¬s.
An advanced pulse design provides fast rise times, on the order of 50ns, while maintaining overshoot at less than 5%. In addition, selectable polarity pulse modes allow the instrument to be configured quickly for your particular laser configuration.
The instrument includes an IEEE/GPIB interface for remote control in development or production applications. Trigger-In and Trigger-Out functions provide the ability to synchronize test systems to ensure proper test sequences and accurate measurements.
Like all ILX Lightwave laser diode control instruments, the LDP-3840 incorporates proven laser diode protection and safety features such as redundant output shorting circuits, AC line filters, and double-shielded transformers.
